Offered here is an incredible Official American League William Harridge stamped baseball that has 20 signatures from the 1938 Press Club Dinner. 11 of the 20 that have signed this ball are Hall of Famers, with Babe Ruths iconic signature boldly signed across the sweet spot in black ink. The other Hall of Famers that have signed their names include Joe DiMaggio, Burleigh Grimes, Bill Terry, Casey Stengel, Joe Cronin, Joe Medwick, Herb Pennock, Kennesaw Landis, Ford Frick and Frank Frisch. Other signatures include early 20th century football player and coach Lou Little, Johnny Murphy, Joe Dugan, Hans Lobert and others. The date 1/29/38 has been handwritten in black ink along the stitching on the panel north of the stamped sweet spot. This ball displays toning and has a light coating of shellac that has preserved the signatures and has kept the stampings bold. This historic ball comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (K78140), plus a letter of provenance from a Norman Kirmer who states that he and his friend snuck into the Press Club Dinner on January 29, 1938 at the Ambassador Hotel in New York City and were able to get autographs before being thrown out of the event.
