Legend has it that Captain Cook used this game nightly to relax with his fellow shipmates. He spent so much time playing the game, it came to be known as The Captain's Mistress. The cabinet is crafted with brass fittings, olive wood veneer on top, mitered joints and a lustrous, stained finish. Two players take turns strategically placing the solid wooden balls (either natural or dark stained) into the shafts, attempting to be the first player to get 4 of their color placed in a row.
